Italian: Program of Studies

Courses at the 100 level (ITL 101-102-103)

This sequence is founded on the five C’s of the National Foreign Language Standards. Students will have the opportunity to practice the three modes of Communication to learn about Italian Culture and to make Comparisons between their first language and culture and the Italian language and culture. In addition, students make Connections to other fields of study unavailable to them through their native language. The goal of the basic Italian sequence is to produce students with a quantifiable degree of language proficiency.
