Congratulations to Joseph Pezzulo who was accepted into the most prestigious Masters Program of International Relations at Beijing University with full China’s Government scholarship. Joseph’s primary focus will be on Sino-US relations. Joseph has a self-designed double major in Chinese language and Culture and History. With Dr. Jiayan Mi, Joesph will be doing his self-designed Chinese major capstone thesis on “Dystopian Narrative of the Great Leap Forward”. Below is Joesph’s testimonial.
“My name is Joe Pezzulo, and I am a soon-to-be graduate of TCNJ’s 2014 undergraduate class. While at the college I double majored in both history and Chinese studies, I also had the life-changing opportunity to study abroad in Beijing during my spring semester junior year. Over my past four years, I have been fortunate enough to achieve several academic accomplishments, all of which are directly attributed to the help and encouragement of my many professors. In addition to my 3.9 cumulative GPA, I have earned dean’s list every semester at TCNJ. Moreover, last semester I received an award for academic excellence in the field of Chinese language. Most recently, I have also been inducted into both the Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Betta Kappa national honor societies. Following graduation I will study in Peking University’s International Relations masters degree program for two years, for which I was granted a China Government Scholarship. I will always be grateful for my time at TCNJ, as I know without the guidance of my many professors none of these achievements would be possible. ”
