Welcome to the Arabic Program
We are part of the World Languages and Cultures Department. We offer intensive and advanced language courses every semester, a minor in Arabic, study abroad opportunities, and additional coursework related to Arabic language and culture.
We offer intensive Arabic courses every semester. Arabic 151/152, First Year Intensive Arabic I and II, and Arabic 251/252, Second Year Intensive Arabic I and II. The intensive classes meet 4 days a week for 80 minute sessions and once a week for a 50 minute Oral Proficiency Class. Each class is worth 2 units per semester (8 credits). For more information, please see the Arabic Language Brochure, 2012.
For information on the Arabic minor, please go to the Undergraduate Bulletin (Click on ‘Humanities & Social Sciences,’ then on ‘World Languages and Cultures’ and search for ‘Requirements for the Minor’).
